What are the costs of the bike benefit for the employer?
EpassiBIKE sends the customer company a salary report and an invoice once a month, which includes the bike's taxable value & administration fee. We report on company bikes to your payroll once a month. The report lists all of the company's ongoing leasing agreements on a bike-by-bike basis.We can add all the necessary information to the report, such as the employee's pay stub and cost center.If your company wants a tailor-made salary report, we will be happy to talk more about it.Reporting to the customer and payroll from the entire bike fleet once a month (with a CSV file or, if agreed separately, with other operating methods). EpassiBIKE sends the employer an invoice once a month in connection with the salary report. The invoice includes the leasing monthly fees of all the company's current employee bikes as well as the EpassiBIKE management fees: the bicycle benefit reduces the employer's wage costs by the taxable value of the bike when the bike benefit is part of the employee's salary. The employer pays the social costs for the taxable value of the bike without the health insurance contribution. The employer's expenses are calculated to be lower than the EpassiBIKE administration fee, thanks to the savings in the employer's health insurance contribution. EpassiBIKE management fee 15 €/month/bike includes: From the financing, insurance, procurement and maintenance of management-related work to final redemption or return. How is the taxable value and contract period of a company bike determined?
Our calculators makes it quick to calculate the taxable value and easy to place an order with. The taxable value of a company bike package consists of the following elements: Purchase price of the bike, optional bike accessories, theft and damage protection, selected maintenance budget for the contract period: 20€/month, 16€/month, 12€/month, 0€/month. The contract periods for EpassiBIKE company bikes stretch from 12 months to 48 months according to your needs. The longer the contract period, the more valuable the bike you can fit in the taxable value of 100 euros. If the value of your bike package exceeds 4000€, the monthly rent is also over 100€/month. At the end of the contract period, you decide whether you want to claim the bike for yourself or return it to us for proper wagering. When it comes to e-bikes, many people want to upgrade their bikes to a new company bike and return the old one.Why is the total rent more than the price of the bike?In addition to the bike's capital, the monthly rent of a company bike includes financing costs and the costs of theft and damage protection. The cost of financing, as well as the cost of theft and damage protection, depends on the purchase price of the bike, and the more expensive the bike, the higher these costs will also be. Due to the cost of financing, theft and damage protection, the rental period is not directly the purchase price of the bike / 100, but slightly longer than this.
What happens if I change jobs in the middle of the rental period?
If you change jobs in the middle of the rental period, you can transfer your company bike to your new employer if they have the EpassiBIKE bike benefit in use or want to take it into use. If the transfer is not successful, you will need to claim the bike for yourself. When redeeming a bike, always contact the email address well in advance bikes@epassi.fi.
How does the EpassiBIKE company bike service work?
EpassiBIKE concludes a bicycle benefit agreement with the employer to introduce the bike benefit. Employees choose their bikes from the EpassiBIKE online store or from the stores of the partner network. EpassiBIKE buys the bike from a bicycle shop and invoices the leasing fees from the employer during the contract period. What happens to the bikes when the contract runs out?
When the leasing period ends, the customer can redeem the bike for himself with the residual value of the bike, which is specified in the contract between Epassi and the employer. If the customer does not redeem the bike, it must be returned to the place indicated by Epassi. The bike must meet the following criteria in order for the return to be accepted: The body is straight and does not have large dents. The rims of the bike are in running order, the spokes are not broken.The gears are in working order. The brakes are in working order. The tyres are in running order. In the case of an e-bike, the electric assist and its control functions work. What is residual value? The residual value is the value at which the bike and accessories can be redeemed at the end of the contract period. In EpassiBIKE company bikes, the residual value is always 5% of the purchase price of the bike and accessories.
Does the bike benefit affect other benefits or deductions?
The tax-free maximum amount of a commuter ticket and a company bike benefit totals EUR 3400 per year. The benefits are not mutually exclusive and both benefits may well be used at the same time. Does the employee bike benefit have anything to do with the car benefit? The employee bike benefit has nothing to do with the car benefit, and they are not mutually exclusive benefits. However, there are ties with a commuter ticket, i.e. the combined benefit of the company bike benefit and the commuter ticket cannot exceed 3400 € per year. Effects on compensation and deductionsThe bicycle benefit does not affect the compensation or tax deductions you receive. There are no restrictions on the use of a company bike and the bike can be used freely both in leisure time and on business trips. Other fringe benefits. The bike benefit does not exclude other fringe benefits, such as culture and sports benefits. So you can get a company bike benefit from your employer in addition to your current benefits.
