Who can register as a service provider?
Any company that offers services or products suitable for employee benefits can sign up to become an Epassi service provider.
The lunch benefit can be used at any restaurant or café – anywhere where meals can be purchased. The lunch benefit can also be used in grocery stores when purchasing ready-made meals (e.g., a lunch salad from a salad bar).
Sports, culture, massage, dental care, and health benefits can be implemented by all service providers and sites that offer services covered by these benefits. Sports clubs, for example, can also become service providers, even if they do not have an actual physical operating location.
How can I become a service provider?
You can easily register as a service provider on our online service. You do not need new cash registers or other equipment to join. If you wish, we can also take care of the registration for you. Our customer support is always available to help you.
What can be paid with Epassi payments?
We offer our customers payment services that can be used in a total of seven different employee benefits:
Lunch: The lunch benefit is intended for paying for personal meals. The benefit cannot be used to pay for alcohol or tobacco products, services, or goods. The benefit can also be used outside of lunch hours. Paying for contract meals is also easy, as Epassi recognizes contracts – no more name lists and billing hassles.
Sport: The sport benefit is intended for paying for personal sport services. The benefit can be used to pay various membership or subscription fees (e.g., sports clubs) that entitle the holder to use sport services. However, the sport benefit cannot be used to pay for unnamed serial tickets, goods, or treatment services (e.g., massage). A separate cash register is not necessary.
Culture: The culture benefit is intended for paying for personal cultural services. The benefit can be used to pay for various membership or subscription fees that entitle the holder to use the services. However, the culture benefit cannot be used to pay for unnamed serial tickets, goods, or treatment services.
Massage: The massage benefit encourages you to take a break and relax amid your busy everyday life. The massage benefit can be used to pay for classic massage and sports massage.
Dental care: The dental care benefit is intended for dental care that maintains work ability as part of the voluntary occupational health care provided by an employer. Typical uses include dental check-ups, fillings, and tartar removal. The benefit cannot be used to pay for cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening.
Health: With the health benefit, the employer can supplement the mandatory occupational health care with a wide range of medical and health services. These include physiotherapy, specialists (such as orthopedists, psychologists, or neurologists), and laboratory tests.
Commuting: The commuting benefit is intended for paying for personal travel tickets. The benefit can be used for single, serial and seasonal tickets, to purchase value onto a personal travel card, or to pay for other public transport fares approved by the tax authorities.
We also offer employers Epassi Flex packages, which are combinations of at least two employee benefits. The employer sets a total budget for the package, within which the employee can use Flex to pay for the services they want.
How do I receive Epassi payments?
Customers can pay with Epassi in three different ways: using the Epassi app, their own phone number, or online. You can choose which payment methods you accept. Most Epassi payments are made through the mobile app. You can also add a convenient Epassi payment button to your online store.
Payment via mobile app: Customers pay for their purchases in the Epassi app and show the receipt on their phone screen at the checkout. This payment method is available for lunch, sport, culture, massage, dental care, and health benefits.
Payment by phone number: The cashier asks for the customer's phone number and charges the payment based on it in the Epassi online service. This payment method is used for commuting, sports, culture, massage, dental care, and health benefits.
Online payment: The customer pays for their purchases in the Epassi online service and shows or sends the receipt for you to see. This payment method is available for services purchased remotely and is used by more than 1 400 Finnish online stores and mobile apps.
If you are interested in the Epassi payment button for online stores or other mobile payment methods (Alipay, WeChat Pay, and Siirto), you can easily start using them. Contact us for more information.

Customer identification data is processed in accordance with the law on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, the General Data Protection Regulation, and the Data Protection Act. How much does Epassi cost to a service provider?
Epassi costs vary between 3.5% and 5% depending on the type of benefit. In addition, Epassi charges a monthly site fee of €2.50 per site per month. Read more about our terms and conditions.
You can see a detailed breakdown of Epassi payments and costs on your company's Epassi page. Real-time reports can be attached to your daily sales for accounting purposes, and settlements are handled automatically.
How do I inform my clients about Epassi?
The most important thing is to put Epassi door and cashier stickers up to display, as they have a significant impact on increasing sales. We will deliver a package of materials to your address within four weeks of you registering as a service provider. Make sure that the postal address in your business details is the full address to which postal mail can be sent.
You can also download digital materials from our material bank. We recommend adding the information to your website and social media channels as soon as Epassi is up and running.
What is MyMoney and what can it be used for?
MyMoney is the customer's own money, which they can transfer into Epassi and use as needed, for example, when the amount to be paid exceeds their employee benefit's value. MyMoney makes paying easy, as no other payment methods are needed; the entire amount can be paid with the Epassi app in one go.
The payment receipt shows a breakdown of how the amounts are divided between the benefit and MyMoney. MyMoney works everywhere other mobile payments work, too. It can be used to pay any amount at any time, as long as the payment is for a type of benefit that the customer is already using. For example, if a customer only has a sports benefit, they cannot use OmaRaha to pay for massage services. OmaRaha cannot be used for one-time payments made by the service provider.
