The Great Employee Benefits Study 2026.
Do you know how to engage your employees? A large-scale employee benefits survey provides HR decision-makers with data they can use to justify investments in benefits to management and target them where they yield the greatest return
Study: Employers’ and employees’ views on investing in workplace wellbeing differ sharply.
The 2026 Great Employee Benefits Study maps trends in workplace wellbeing, benefits, and the employee experience in Finland and Europe. The study reveals where organizations’ promises and employees’ everyday realities diverge, where the gap between management’s perspective and the employee experience is greatest, and where employee benefits are not yet living up to their potential.
The results show that the relevance of benefits matters more than their quantity. The competitive advantage of the future will go to employers who target their investments in employee benefits precisely where they have the greatest impact on engagement, wellbeing, and employer brand.
What is the Great Employee Benefits Study?
The Great Employee Benefits Study will be conducted for the fourth time in 2026. The study was designed by professors and researchers at Aalto University. It was conducted by Pole Star Advisory in collaboration with Epassi.
The study compares the views of employees and employers on employee benefits, workplace wellbeing, and the employee experience across eight European countries. The Finnish data set consists of 1,000 employees and 450 employers.
The results show how your organization’s benefits package likely compares to those of other organizations in the same industry, and what kinds of benefits your employees are hoping for.
